We are happy to baptise your baby at St. Mary's.
If you do not live in the parish we ask that you first approach the vicar at your local church
and let him or her know your intention.
Baptism services generally take place at 12:45 pm on the first Sunday of each month.
The vicar, Tricia Impey will be pleased to discuss the baptism with you.
You can book a baptism by phoning Mrs. Pat Clarke on (0114) 2577191.
Please note that we have many requests for baptisms during the months March through to
September so you may have to wait.
When you have fixed the date, you will be sent a Baptism Pack and an invitation for you and
the child’s godparents to a preparation evening.
Christian Baptism will be explained and we will go through the service so that you know what
to expect to the day. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and meet other
parents bringing their children for baptism.
