The Music Group is essentially a collection of tuneful, talkative, chocolate addicts who not
only sing but who can also make a very pleasing sound on a variety of instruments.

The group consists of singers, guitarists, a keyboard player, whistle player and an assortment
of percussionists. Not forgetting of course lots of contributing tambourine players when the
opportunity arises.

We are all of different ages and come from a wide variety of backgrounds and we come
together to play music not just for worship but for fellowship and fun. Although our main
aim is to provide music for the 11.15 am Family Service, we can also be heard playing at
other services and for other Church activities.

The group also makes a big contribution to the major festival services such as; Christmas,
Easter, Mothering Sunday, Harvest, Confirmations and Baptism. The group played every
night when the 2007 Mission was on and we even played at the very exclusive ‘toilet and
kitchen dedication service’.

We play mostly modern songs of worship written by such fantastic composers as:-
Matt Redman,  Stuart Townend  and  Graham Kendrick . Although we can sometimes
be heard playing secular music during practise - just to expand our repertoire.

New members are always welcome, especially if you can already play an instrument and we
meet in Church most Thursday evening’s at 7.30 am.  If you would like to come along and
listen to us or discuss joining in with us then please drop in.

If you would like any more information about anything we do just ask a member of the
group. The Music Group Contact is:  Andrea Whittaker

Stitch by Keith Pearce
Be Still (for the presence of the Lord)
How lovely is Thy dwelling place
The Lord's my shepherd (Psalm 23)
Lord, I want to tell You
You rescued me
No-one, but You, Lord
I will offer up my life
In the bleak midwinter
