A brief history of the Coffee Shop.
For a period of over 10 years, the church provided a Tea Room in Court House Antiques and
the Tea Room became well known for its fresh tea, coffee and some marvellous homemade
cakes.
Staffed by volunteers from both the church and the community it was a way of reaching out
into the community of Ecclesfield, as well as to visitors from other places. It helped to raise
funds to pay for the mission and outreach of the church and also helped fund maintenance
of and improvements to the church building.
Sadly Court House Antiques closed in 2006 and with it the Tea Room, the tradition however
still continues with tea, coffee and cakes being served in the 'Coffee Shop' in the church on
Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Saturday Coffee Mornings are also run on several occasions throughout the year; these coffee
mornings are used as fund raising events to support a range of charities and various Open
Day activities.
